Is 15 a good age to start wearing full-face makeup?

Angel P. asked:

I’ve always kept a makeup-free face for about 2 years, (I used to wear eyeliner/mascara in 6th grade) and I want to start wearing makeup in freshmen year in high school. Is that an okay age to start with foundation and stuff like that?
I’m not trying to look fake, I just want to cover up minor flaws and just look good. I’m planning on using mineral foundation.

that’s when I started wearing foundation.
so yes, as long as you don’t cake it on so that it looks completely ridiculous,
i think 15 would indeed be a good age to start wearing foundation.

If you can, go make up free for as long as possible. Trust me, girls look so much better without all the goop on their face. I wear full face foundation, I’m 19. I have alot of freckles I am really self concious about on my face though! Seriously, if you have like no major flaws, stay awaaaay!

Don’t do it, it’ll just mess up your skin and clog your pores and give you spots. (I’m 21 and I don’t use foundation!) Stick to eyeliner and mascara, but don’t overdo it. Also girls tend to use so much make up their faces look orange and it looks really fake and tacky

Go for it [: Don’t worry, if you use a good makeup, it won’t do anything bad to your face. A lot of girls start wearing full face by the time they are like, 14, so go for it [:

Look im 18 and when i was your age i wanted that too, and actually i did it i used to put eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and gloss. but a year later i found out that this is very bad and wrong thing. Please don’t do that ok you can put some blush that looks natural, and mascara and a stick that also looks natural ok of course use a lotion/cream before wearing makeup to protect your skin (SPF included to protect your skin from skin damaging) and ***don’t put eyeliner as if u missed it once you will feel that your face is pale or missing something, people will feel it to. So wear it only on occasions. Good Luck. PS: remember to clean your face carefully and to moisturize it.

That sounds fine to me, as long as you blend it well and clean your face thoroughly every night so you don’t get a breakout and have to pile on more makeup.

I’d say it’d be soo much better if you just bought a cream/liquid foundation and mixed it with lotion. Then you’d have tinted moisturizer, which still covers up flaws, but it’s mucch more natural.

I think 15 is fine as long as its light.

Mineral foundation is best for the skin, since it’s light and airy. =]
A little eyeliner and gloss and/or light lip color will be nice for the daytime too.
