Face Painters: How do you keep your brushes/sponges clean at a party?
midniqhtblue asked:
I have my first ever face painting gig for kids at a church festival. Never did face painting before (I really just know stage makeup and regular makeup).
I’ve been practicing with the face paints I got (Ben Nye Magicake) with sponges and brushes, but I can’t figure out how to clean them well enough between colors. My palette has 12 colors, and I read a tip to have a brush or sponge for each color.. but I thought that might get a little too cluttered and messy.

Here’s an idea: You can try getting a few jugs/containers of water from the sink and setting them down next to you as you work. Once you need to clean the brushes/sponges, dump the old water from the cup or cups you used and pour some clean water from the jugs/containers into the cups whenever you feel the water is too dirty. You can do that or get someone to run to a sink for you everytime.
I hope I helped. ^_^

Can’t wait to get this! I can feel a faux sick day coming so I can stay home from Uni and mess around playing this.
