how can i get rid of my severe acne?

i have extremely bad acne. ive had it all my life. im only fifteen, but i can’t remember a time when i didn’t have blemishes covering my face. it’s really starting to have a serious effect on my confidence. i was wondering what steps i could take to finally have a clear complexion?
