Could my cat be causing the rash on my face?
A few days after my cat started sleeping on my bed the rash occured.
I pretty sure we don’t have poison ivy in my counrty and the rash is all red and bumpy on my cheeks only not my nose or forhead.

Well if you have been rubbing your cat on your face you deserve the rash.

Could be your cat got into some poison ivy or oak. Had a cat that got oil from the poison ivy and gave me the rash. Use calamine lotion on your self. Do not break blisters or itch as it will spread.

    Yes. If you are allergic.

It’s possible. Do you have any other allergy symptoms like a runny nose or itchy eyes? Does the rash itch? If you don’t then I doubt it’s allergies.

If you haven’t already, change your sheets and pillow case to remove whatever it is that’s irritating your skin. Just a thought – are you using any new washing detergents? The face is a sensitive area and that could cause problems for some people too.

I’m allergic to my cat and periodically she’ll give me a love lick on my cheek. I get a red bumpy rash where she licked and put Benedryl cream on it to ease the reaction.
