Can i take benadryl for face rash?

I have irritated skin on my cheeks,nose,and eyelids from a cosmetic or acne cream i was using, i’ve been taking this antihistamine i had, which made my skin a bit better since starting it yesterday, but i ran out and can’t get more without a prescription, so i drank some benadryl, will this help my face rash from the cosmetics as well?

no benadryl is for allergies like sneeze, fever, runny nose.

It probably wont because its for allergies mostly, but hey, its worth a shot!
