Is it possible to get a rash on your face from using pain medication?

Cathy J asked:

I recently have been using a pain killer for some back and neck problems. I have also had a rash, first around my nose, now around my eye.

The rash might be an allergic reaction to the medication. You should tell this to you doctor and ask if you should stop the medicine.

It sounds like an allergic reaction to the pain medication. If this happens again be sure to call the doctor and have the medication changed because it can be dangerous if you have an allergic reaction.

    May be totally unrelated.
Rashes happen for a gazillion reasons.

Let your doc know *today* so s/he can look at the rash.
