How do i find out whats wrong with this face rash?

I have mild acne and it never ever flares up but all of a sudden i have an acne-looking rash on my ckeeks on either side of my nose and it is very itchy and sometimes burns. I have no clue what this could be and the doctor thinks it is acne but the medicine I use is only irritating it more. PLEASE HELP me
i also should mention to help people help me…i am 16 and i have been using my regualr acne treatment and this rash is bumpy…its a red, itchy set of bumps
my acne has never been this bad…ever so i dont see how it could be acne

its probably acne – put cold water on your face for as long as your can breathe.
OR
its that new virus called the “5th Disease”
it happened to my little brother, red cheeks and its itchy.
put some ointment on it

I have rosacea, and acne, and food allergies which sometimes show up as itchy hives on my face. Acne meds do nothing for my rosacea, and in fact makes the problem worse. I am also allergic witch hazel, and many of the other the counter “healthy” acne products that contain witch hazel makes my whole face red and painful, more than usual.
