About Face
My baby is here! asked:
My baby has some kind of red spots or bumbs on his face. i am not sure if its from kissing him too much or because he is hot. i just cover him up so much because i dont want him to get sick. but now he has them all over his face.

Dont put anything on it! It’s just a milk rash and will go away it’s self

If it’s heat rash you need to keep him cool enough that the spots go away and more don’t develop. To check and see if he’s too hot put your finger at the back of his neck if it’s sweaty he’s too hot.

I don’t know how old your baby is but if he or she is fairly new it may just be baby acne which is perfectly normal, just leave it alone. If your baby is a few months old and this is happening I would talk to the Dr and ask what it may be before you treat it with something. I can tell you my sister used stuff called **** paste on her daughters face rash and it worked very well. My son never had that problem so I didn’t have to do it.

Maybe its baby acne? My son had little bumps all over his face and they went away w/in 2 weeks. Dont put anything on it. Just keep his face clean and it will go away by itself.

If it’s a rash, you don’t need to put anything on it. Just wash with luke warm water and avoid soap. Make sure it’s not a result of him being too warm (heat rash). If it’s just really dry skin and not a rash (my son had that and it looked a bit like rash), some sensitive skin baby lotion might help.

Its probably okay…most babies get things like that.
if you think he need something use baby lotion, or sudocrem..something baby friendly

It’s baby acne. Leave it alone. It will go away on it’s own. It can be linked to gasiness. has he been gassy lately?
Use only water. If it doesn’t go away by the time he is 6 months old, call your doctor.
