Face Painting

I got some normal halloween makeup “grease paint” is disgusting and since I have to dress up more than once and my skin isn’t great to start off with (it’s not totally horrible but I have mild acne).

but I’d have to order it today for it to get here in time.
Also I have a friend that does face painting – she says they’re water based, does anyone know how they are on the skin?

(some people have recommended baby powder but that doesn’t stay on at all)

I’m trying to get the undead look, the pressed powder seems like the best bet, but it’s kind of expensive. so can I get away with the facepaints? or anything else you can think of?

in school we’re having a spirit day and everyone gets all dressed up with the school colors. im wearing suspenders and i really wouldnt want to wear them the regular way, up over your shoulders. and last year i wore them just hanging down, and i dont like that very much. is there any cutee, different way to wear suspenders?

oh and if you have any idea for being spirited, just tell me(: the school colors are green and white. (and no face painting)

I have my first ever face painting gig for kids at a church festival. Never did face painting before (I really just know stage makeup and regular makeup).

I’ve been practicing with the face paints I got (Ben Nye Magicake) with sponges and brushes, but I can’t figure out how to clean them well enough between colors. My palette has 12 colors, and I read a tip to have a brush or sponge for each color.. but I thought that might get a little too cluttered and messy.

Any tips or advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
