Mineral Foundation

I’m looking for a new foundation, the hardest thing for me is that I have super, super dry skin. That’s pretty much my only issue, not too much redness or discoloration, just dry patches that flake. I would like a foundation that doesn’t look too cakey, and I’m not really a fan of mineral foundation. I tried bare minerals a couple of years ago and that just seemed to settle in the lines around my eyes, making me look much older than I am! Of course, cheapies are always good!

I’ve always kept a makeup-free face for about 2 years, (I used to wear eyeliner/mascara in 6th grade) and I want to start wearing makeup in freshmen year in high school. Is that an okay age to start with foundation and stuff like that?
I’m not trying to look fake, I just want to cover up minor flaws and just look good. I’m planning on using mineral foundation.
